About

I’m about lazy girl jobs.

It isn’t about indolence per se, at least not all the time, but eschewing the traditional yardstick society applies for success. It is about making a fair living and yet having the time, energy and resources for self-actualization. It’s about working on your own schedule, at your own pace. And my favorite, being able to quiet quit something that doesn’t work. And also my favorite, start something new.

The reason not having any lofty single career expectation is that I can live at crossroads and traverse many paths for love–write, sing, run a small business, paint, play piano, albeit not brilliantly, and most recently, be an involved angel investor while I work at lazy girl jobs for money.

The sort of jobs I’ve done for money have been varied—I have worked as a marketing and strategy consultant for small businesses, served as managing director of a non-profit and taught graduate and undergraduate business classes online. But my latest lazy girl job and favorite of all, is trading options. I am becoming a better trader each day and am developing ice water for blood in the process.

Best of all, is the flexibility to devote ample energy and time to my family and take care of them while not ever sacrificing my sense of self.

Also best of all, there are many, many more paths yet to explore.

“For those who find they have many roads from which to choose in life, perhaps it would be best to build a house on the crossroads. Then take a few steps on any of the roads the heart desires. With a house on the crossroads, one has the joy of meeting various caravans that pass through pursing different paths.”
